NFAccount / Setup guide

Ancient Dead by Daylight External

Choose the correct GPU overlay for Ancient DBD, then initialize the loader before launching the game.

1Check hardware and Windows

The documented support range is Windows 10/11 builds 1909–25H2. You need an Intel or AMD processor with AES support and at least 16 GB RAM.

Virtualization is required and this release lists Secure Boot off. Intel and AMD setups have different Hyper-V requirements; do not apply a generic configuration for both. Intel systems also require the documented UEFI/GPT configuration. Contact NFAccount support with your CPU and Windows build if you need a compatibility check.

2Select the appropriate overlay

For an NVIDIA graphics card, use the NVIDIA App overlay or the supported SteelSeries overlay.

For an AMD graphics card, use the SteelSeries overlay. NVIDIA-specific overlay instructions do not apply to an AMD-only system.

Enable and test the chosen overlay before initializing Ancient.

3Activate and inject

Close Dead by Daylight. Download the current Ancient loader into a fresh, empty folder on a local drive and run it as administrator.

Enter the license from your NFAccount order and choose Inject. Keep the game closed while initialization runs.

Wait for the loader to close itself before continuing; do not manually terminate it halfway through initialization.

4Launch Dead by Daylight

Open Dead by Daylight after the loader has finished. Use INSERT to show or hide the menu.

Confirm that the overlay is aligned with the game and review the available configuration and hotkey settings. Save the profile after making your changes.

5Loader closes or stalls

Get a fresh loader copy in a new empty local folder and confirm that the overlay matches your GPU. Record exactly where the process stops.

Send NFAccount support the order ID, Windows build, CPU/GPU models, overlay used, and error text. Hide the license key before sharing a screenshot.
